Thanks for the reply's. Wishfull thinking on my part I guess. I was trying not to waste space in my pillar pod with a redundant guage. Brilliant GM, a guage that's basically an idiot light.
Can the logic be altered at all in the PCM to get a more accurate reading of the stock guage?

sensors are different.. 98 is 3 wire.. 1 wire goes to cluster and 1 to pcm.. 99+ is 2 wire.. wire goes to pcm and then to cluster..
you'd need 98 gauges/sensor wire with a custom routed wire.. but then your fuel level gauge wont work cause they are all different too between 98/99.
