anyone run a single mufflex style catback
Ok going threw exhaust options,I have decided I don't like tail pipes on camaros, when I took my lm1 off it looked so much better,ok so what are my options?duals,I. Wouldn't mind a tsp x pipe, but I would like to have a legal exhaust,I like the single mufflex catback, with the hide away tail pipe,I had an idea of running something like in this pic,I have a magnaflow 3 inch bullet, but was maybe thinking a bigger xr1 would sound better?I want a deep sound, don't care if its loud just not crazy loud, maybe 2 magnaflow bullets, would this hurt flow?mods are bolt ons,4.10s,ms4,tsp ory, I have a exhaust guy that is cheap and does great work,so this would be imo a much cheaper route than a mufflex,

I had a custom hidden single like the pic (mufflex style). I used 3" all the way with a Borla XR1 offset/offset (so I could tuck it high as possible) installed along with my DMH cut-out. Got the muffler from Summit, cut-out from DMH, and had the custom mandrel work done at a pro exhaust shop. Day after install I painted it all black with high temp (1500*) sray paint. You don't notice where the exit is under the left side of the bumper unless you're looking for it. All together (parts and labor) cost me about $650. Ive had it like this for about 2 1/2 years now and think it sound really good on manifolds (will be getting LT's with tax returns). It has a low tone and does not scream or sound raspy when you get on it. I can't wait to hear how it sounds when I "finally" get my damn LT's installed. Sorry, but I don't have any pics or video.

i have kooks LT, their off road y to 3.5" mufflex with flowmaster to single exit. The car had a magnaflow with two God awful large sewer pipes for tips. Since i changed it to the mufflex i love it. looks good, sounds good. This is on a formula that has no ground effects.

With your MS4 cam a 3.5 would be better. You can try a 4", but it is tight! I can say with my mild (no cam or headers, yet) bolt on car some think I have more than I do and it is a nice deep rumble. Again, at wot and the upper rpm's, it has more of a roar and not scream or rasp some other mufflers produce. I was going to go with a Flowmaster 10 or 40 series ( as Markzles has), but didn't want it too load or "raw" sounding. I had dual 40 on my old 450rwhp 68 Camaro and it was LOUD all the time (tho it did sound badass). Had to yell even at idle.

i ran a 4" mufflex style catback a while back on my car, it was nice and quiet at idle but had a deep *** tone and sounded mean at wot. I thought it was too much exhaust for a stock ls1 so i took it off and did tsp true duals. I still have the exhaust its forsale if anyway is interested. Ill upload pics later

my old camaro had 3" mufflex style with 24" long ultraflo muffler.
bought the 3" dynomax ipipe from summit.
It sounded pretty good. the big muffler was kinda overkill though.
If you like loud, the 3.5" borla would be perfect for you.

Sorry never done a vid but it's like others have said, Reletively quiet at idle with a deep tone and has an aggressive roar at WOT.
Also want to add that this 3.5" system did free up some power over my previous 3" setup even with the stock manifolds and Y pipe. I've had several positive comments regarding the sound and many ask if it has headers aswell.
