Headers installed...now having an SES problem... What's up everyone? I just had my longtube headers installed on my car and now my car is throwing me this SES code. Not sure about what the code is yet, but I'm thinking it's the O2 sensor. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this problem? Not only for the stupid emissions inspection reason, but I don't want my car to run too lean if that's the problem. I've thought of upgrading to higher pressure fuel pump and injectors...would this cause the lean problem to go away? Should I try using LS1edit to fix it? Any help please...
You need to find out what your DTC is (code) first. Don't try to fix what aint broke. Second, headers make these cars run richer, not leaner. Third, you don't need injectors & a fuel pump upgrade unless you also threw in a big cam & some nice heads, or a blower. Figure out your code # & go from there.

You can pretty much bet on the O2 sensor problem. You can go to an AutoZone and get them to hook up the scan tool to confirm.... You will either have to get O2 sims for the rears or turn them off with LS1 edit like I did.
