Intake broken bolt
Intake broken bolt Help, I broke an intake manifold bolt off in the head. I swear my torque wrench was set properly. I know it was a rookie mistake. I was surprised to find that the hole is not a blind hole.
I drilled and tapped it already. My question is does the hole go through into the engine? Or are my drill shavings just resting on top of the head gasket?
I really don't want to pull the head. The hole was the third one from the front on the passenger side if that matters.

I believe your shaving should be stopped by the gasket,never herd of oil coming up those bolt holes.get a pic of the gasket from who you bought it from.use a shop vac to remove shavings.tape off you intake ports.
