Default Hooker Lt's issues

Unhappy about this situation is a huge understatment. The Hookers in the photo was purchased in Aug. of 2003 from Speed inc. By late September small brown areas started to appear in between the tubes at the collectors.
Next oil change (Nov.) the tubes looked like they do in the photo. A call to Holley customer service resulted in a certain represenative asking me to send some pictures for a warranty claim. After more than a month of waiting for a response (getting married, just bought a house problem got put on hold) I spent 30min today on hold with customer service only to be put back on hold for another 10 waiting for my customer service rep. to finish another call. This is not a toll free call, it's long distance, total call time 1 hr 16min. He offered no reason or apology for the very long no response time. Only that he cannot do anything for me because hooker does not warranty rust and the coating is only warrantied for 90 days. He went on to say that in the warranty disclaimer online & in the catalog specifically says so. He also told me the barrier coating is not a corrosion protecter. Funny thing is after checking the online warranty disclaimer & product advertising, it says nothing about rust, the coating is in fact advertised as being "corrosion & heat resistent to 1600f". After speaking to the rep's supervisor he gave me the same b.s. & made an offer to recoat the headers at my expense. Why in the world would I want them to redo what hooker couldn't get right in the first place, AND PAY FOR IT!!!? I have faithfully used Hooker products for over 10 years, never had a problem. I am very disappointed in a company that claims to be the best but cannot stand behind a failed product.

In desperstion I called Speed Inc. for help, the treatment I got was exactly 180 from dealing with Holley. I was told this is not common but was not unseen. Understandably they cannot warranty for me, but could help with a discount on recoating, Their coating is warrantied for 3 years. He offered good advise on trying to get something out of Holley. The point is customer service. Holley---Ha ha ha we have your money!!! Speed inc.---We will do everything in our power to give you a hand.

I'm done venting now. Anyone else have a similar experience with Holley, their customer service, or their products? I'd love to feel not alone in this situation.

This is among the reasons why if I get headers they will probably not be coated...save some money and get some high temp paint, they're gonna rust either way most likely.
Or I'll get up the nerve to just spend the cash and get stainless maybe.
