Default Update on LS6 PCV....Still using oil!

Not as much as before and only when I rev pretty good, but it is for sure getting in the intake. I'll buy a catch can next, but wonder if a breather in the valve cover will reduce enough pressure that the catch can isn't needed. I'm open to suggestions! Thanks fellas!

Do a search on catch cans
I bought one called an Accurate Machine works Catch can.
It looks and should take care of all the issues.
I have an exhaust evac from Morosso also that goes to the breathers and might be good for a couple of HP.
I will use the catch can and if it doesn't go away I will be installing the exhaust evac to the valve covers.
Todd assures me that with the pcv mod and his catch can from accurate Machine works I should be good and clean on the tops of the pistons.
Maybe we won't have detonation on the # 7 piston and save a few engines.
We can put all this oil in the intake to rest and move on to making more power .
I believe the catch can I bought will fix it for good, but if it doesn't I know # 2 alternative will (exhaust evac)
John

Hey John, when did you discover it was using oil? I thought it was doing good.
I am headed to P'cola tonight to take my truck to Tim, I might swing by your place and check out the bike.....and a beer.

Try the breather from Speed Inc. I blew a rear main, and my oil pan gasket was leaking from pressure. After that repair, I bought the breather that takes the place of my oil filler and cap. After that, I noticed that my catch can was staying empty. I think that releasing the pressure helped out alot. It looks good too.

I've already looked into the catch can idea and contact ya for a few more details.

Jake,
I noticed it after some pretty good high rpm runs. (Quintette!!!) Checking my tuning. Not near as bad as before, but still some. Give me a call. I'm heading to Ft Walton to have my y pipe done tonight. The guy works at night so I might not be home until 10 or so, but I have a fridge full of budlight if I get back earlier or you stay later!

I'll look into the breather. Just gotta see if it will clear my STB.

I have a Bmr STB on my car. The black filler neck and the cap are removed and replaced by a new filler neck and breather. Fits great, took 1 minute to swap out.

I did the LS6 valley cover long time ago and it didn't help at all. Got a catch can now, all is well.
