Default headers
Is a light ticking noise common when a car has headers. thanks for any feedback.

Sounds like you might have a small exhaust leak. If you just put them on you might want to go back and retighten the header bolts.

exhaust leak or check valves if you still have your AIR system.

Also, check spark plug wires. A loose wire will create a "ticking" noise too.

light enough to hear with the hood open, yea, there will be a little. hood closed, not unless you have a leak somewhere.

Does the ticking increase as you accelerate? If so then it is probably an exhaust leak. What gaskets did you use?
