Well it's either the FAST or stock. There are others like bbk or professional products...but those are not worth the time and money.

Why is that? I see quite a few people using them.

i used to be of the same thought about the fast intakes being overpriced pieces of plastic. i can tell you first hand it is well worth the investment if your looking to make power. switching from an ls6 to a fast 92 got me 30rwhp on my setup. if you don't want to mess with the 102 fitment look for a used 90/92

They are marginally better than the ls6 intake, so if you want to sell your intake and spend an extra $50-100 on ~5hp they might be worth it.

They are a better upgrade for people who have a ls1 intake who would have to buy the ls6 anyway.

For those with the ls6, the only bang for buck upgrade is to get a used Fast 90-92mm. Otherwise look for power elsewhere.

If you don't want to spend the money for a FAST I would just keep the LS6 intake. IMO there is nothing else out there worth spending money on outside of the FAST stuff. Everything else puts up almost the same numbers as an LS6.

The BBK is fine, but minimal gains over the LS6 when comparing stock for stock. PP intake is a waste of time, IMO. I'd go LS1 intake to a BBK, but not LS6 to BBK. Unless there are good reasons for it.

The FAST intakes are worth it, but just look around for some used ones before buying one brand new. -I got a deal on mine brand new, so I'm not married to it. But it always figures, the deals are always out there when you don't have the money. Right when you have the money for it, the deals are nonexistent.

If anything, you can sen your LS6 intake out to Mamo to have him work some magic on it, but that would be around the cost of the intake itself. Wondering if it'd be worth it, unless you get a KILLER deal on an 80mm TB to go with it.

I agree. The BBK and the LS6 are pretty equal. BBK makes a tad more power but is a heavier piece. Fasts are also tough to find for anything under $800 where I am.

I saw a used fast 92 on ebay for 1200 and it actually sold very quick. Just crazy, I could never spend that much on an intake. Never mind a used one.

^ Yeah and I bet if I ever put a 92 on there for that much I'd get flamed and it would never sell.

No. The stock LS1 water pump will take most of the dremel abuse. Unless you buy an LS2 WP. The clearance is tight in the car, but it does fit.

thats understandable, but as stated before, if your going from an ls1 intake and have to buy an intake and cant dish out the cash for a fast...go with a pp or a weiand aluminum intake, they're not much more, but a little better than the ls6 intake, not to mention you can do a bigger tb on the intake.
