Customized Hooker Y pipe!
Customized Hooker Y pipe! I fixed Hookers junk last night. I put a flowmaster dual 3 in 3.5 out collector followed my a 3.5 inch flowtech with 3.5 inch QTEC and a cone merge to reduce back to my 3 inch catback. The car had a bullet muffler on it before and still was a little too raspy even through a B&B Triflow. It sounds PERFECT now. Almost 0 rasp even without the bullet muffler. I'll be painting the welds in the AM and will get some pics up while I got the car in the air! Really made a nice y pipe!!!

You have the same story as alot of folks.
It seems that rasp has more to do with sudden merges of the exhaust flow, or quick changes in pipe size, than it has to do with mufflers.
Folks that make smooth merging Ys and use cones to transition pipe diameters only have good things to say about exhaust sound when they are done.
