Intake help Hey I need help picking out which intake to go with Im going to be putting in a cam ,long tube headers,oil pump,chain,its a 98 ls1 with a stock intake and 806 head,gonna be switching heads to 243/799 also
Bang for the buck = LS6
Cream of the crop = FAST
The FAST will (on average) net you about 10-15 more rwhp in unported form. If it's ported, I'd say closer to 20 more rwhp (that is, if it's ported correctly by a professional like Mr. Mamo). It can be ported incorrectly and will result in less hp than an unported FAST.
An LS6 can be had for about $325
A FAST can be had for about $700 - unported
The CORRECT porting costs an average of $400
Now it's up to you to decide what you want/want to afford.
