I have 5k cash right now and will be able to have 2-3k more in the next few months or even weeks. I'v been looking for a good fbody and found a 1999 black m6 trans am with 104k. mods are: 17 front 18 rear c5 thinspoke vette wheels (sell or trade to get ws6 wheels), lid, ceramic hooker lt's through "custome" x pipe, 4.10's, bm ripper shifter, bmr torque arm, ported tb, stereo with subs (sell for mod money), new radiator and water pump done by dealership. It's a 2 owner car with clear carfax.
The body and paint are in "excellent" condition and the interior needs a bit of help, it has the usual fbody cracks and rips in drivers seat. It's black paint and tan interior
The only issue that it has is a bad 3-4 syncro, other than that it is good and i got him to 5k for it.....would you buy it? i would have to drive like 12 hours to get it too lol.

Sounds like a decent deal to me. As these cars age there are going to be issues with every one. The key is finding issues you are comfortable dealing with.
