Dmh cut out/please help
Today I installed my DMH cutout and am extremely happy however before i managed to mount the switch it got stepped on and broken. does anyone happen to know the part numbers on the switch and wiring harness so i can get a new one. i am in a hurry so i can get the vehicle inspected since i managed to break it stuck open. Thank you

Tried contacting DMH? Take the 2 wires going to the cut-out motor and extend them with some speaker wire and touch them to the battery. One on each post. This will make the motor either open or close. If it doesn't close, reverse the way you have it connected to the battery and it should close (if it works properly).

Also any toggle switch should work as long as you hook it up correctly. I know most auto parts stores carry a decent selection of toggle switches that will work until you get a hold of DHM if you want there exact switch.

A toggle switch will not work unless OP knows how to wire a reverse rest on ground circuit using 2 relays. If he knew how to do this, this thread wouldn't exist You can google it though, its a fairly simple circuit.

I wasn't happy with his callback time either. He does have a good product. I ended up being happy that I waited. I hear you, though. He should hire someone to answer the phone and respond to emails.

You have to verify a 12+ (hot) and a 12- (ground) with some type of meter before just plugging it into a harness. Hence the reason for the suggestion of going to the battery, its fool-proof and eliminates variables. If done correctly and it still sparks I would say your wires are pinched in the car, or the motor is burned/no good/shorted.
