Thumbs up My cure for RASP & still using a y-pipe..

Hey guys just thought I'd share w/ you my new exhaust set-up... I recently had a Flowmaster y-collector installed on the Pacesetter ory using a Hooker Aerochamber single in/dual out muffler... The rasp wasn't bad at all but still slightly noticeable... I had some extra money to spare & a buddy was also wanting to buy my muffler, so I went ahead & bought another Hooker Aerochamber only this one was single in/single out & I had a turn down welded in place before the rear fascia... Started it up & the sound was simply amazing, very deep & very throaty, no rasp at any rpm & at WOT it just screams... Comes very close to sounding like true duals w/ one chamber flows, just not as high pitched at WOT or as bassy at idle... I've been through five different mufflers & this is definately the best thing I've heard next to true duals imo.

I keep hearing about this flowmaster y-collector and how it eliminates virtually all rasp? Tell me more
