yo fellas i have been working and got enough money to know do my headers and exhaust. I was thinking of going borla on the exhasut and jet hot LT's. Just wondering if this set up is going to produce a good amout of power and a good sound. And is borla worth the buck? Are they as good as there rep.? and do u think this will pass a smog check?

I don't have neither, but alot of people have been responding my posts about headers. Seems that if you have the $ Kooks or QTP's LT's are the way to go. Ceramic coatings will just chip off and rust. I know people who have borla and they love it. I think it sounds pretty good, but too much rasp w for me. I went with GMMG and couldn't be happier. No pops or backfires or nothing. Just my opinion. What do you want? Loud, quiet? What is your budget? There are many options out there, your budget will determine which ones are right for you. Passing a smog check doesn't have much to do with the LTs or catback, it will depend on whether you get a catted Y pipe. You mentioned Jet Hot LTs. I've heard that the Jet Hot catted Y pipe doesn't work too well, so that might impact your decision, but you will have to search more on that to be sure though.

ive got jet hot headers and i couldnt be happier. cant say anyting as far as the y pipe or borla catback because i have duals installed.

The best I've ever heard is SLP LT's (if you can handle the clearance), SLP high-flow cats, SLP y-pipe, SLP LM.

The sound tone is unreal. It's quiet below 3,000rpm, but has a trumpet-like scream above 4,000rpm.

the best out there are the QTP Stainless headers......they have 2 options... their regular header or their ultimate race header that comes with high velocity merge collectors that scavange better yielding more power..

i bought the jethots and yeah they were great for a few months...but now they are badly rusted ... and the car never saw winter...its only been about 9 months.. now i have to spend more money and get a set of QTP...i wish i would have done it right the first time and not have to end up spending more money like i have to now..

I have coated pacesetters, ORY & borla w/no plate...the borla quality IMO is unmatched...fit is decent no internal baffle problems, sounds great and w/plates you can adjust it somewhat to meet your needs or neighbors when you get LT's Durien is right about the rust thing after less than a month on my car i already had surface rust on the collectors but mind you this is in Jersey and i drive the car everyday but salted roads + no carwash=rust hopefully it will stay as just surface rust and i can wash it away...If you afford them spend the extra couple hundred & get kooks though or as stated QTP i have heard good things about both.

so a search for Borla or any other catback (or headers) and you wil get your answers a lot faster

The Borla is nice. Buy a used on off the parts section. Acutally, buy any exhaust off the used parts section.

Same goes for headers.

do hookers have the same problems as the jethots with the rust and all, what about pacesetters? Also my budget is about $1500 for complete setup from headers to tailpipe. U think i should wait a couple of weeks and get more money to get better stuff? I have also heard that most LT's r rated about the same except with the QTP's and KOOK's u get about 5hp more. is that true?
