Default Which heads?

I recently finished up an LQ9 which is going in my 01Camaro SS. I have the 317 heads which it came with but I also have the heads off of an LS1 too. I made the switch because I blew my old motor awhile back and now I am finally almost done with the swap. Now I know typically for boost purposes you want to switch to the 317's. But, since this will be my DD which heads will be more beneficial for me to run? I know I won't be getting great gas milage because its a heavy 6.0 with a cam but I am just trying to decide which set of heads will be the most efficient?
Only bad thing about the 317's is the engine looked like it was sitting for a LONG time. There was all kinds of rat **** between the intake and heads. So the heads will definitely have to be cleaned before they are even considered to be put on anything.
Thanks

what are the ls1 head castings? you can have the 317s milled for $100.the 317 are like 799s with larger chambers.

I can't remember I'm not with my car right now. I know for a fact they are the heads off of a 97-98 ls1 because of the bolt pattern. It's crazy I bought this car with an ls6 block and the old heads. Don't know what happened to the original heads.

I'd go with the 317s milled about .035 to get compression up and have them thoroughly inspected (valve guides, seats, etc.) and dipped in the acid bath at the machine shop.
