Default ls3 map sensor compatible w/ ls1 pcm?

Just wanted to know if the ls3 map is interchangeable with a ls1 pcm. I bought a 102mm fast intake which already has the front map hole drilled out. Since there is screw to hold the map in place and the ls3 map has a hole in it, kinda makes since to see if the map works. Any input would be very helpful. Thanks!

Richard

Hey, i'm pretty sure the ls1 harness doesn't read the LS3 MAP correctly. I don't have personal experience with this, but i'm pretty sure I read it in the dyno forums.

The ls1 map is a two bar where the ls3 is a three bar. Someone sells an adaptor harness for plug and play but i know I read that the computer doesnt read the sensor correctly.

Let me know what you find out since I'm building an LQ4 with LS3 top end and I'm running into the same problem.

I am planning on getting a mail order tune from frost which I'm pretty sure they will let me know if it does or not.

Any and all vehicles that are "n/a" as in "normally aspirated".

Bub, do you even know what a "BAR" is? Better go look that one up, then get back to us when you figure it out...

You are absolutely correct. I was misinformed with bad information. I was researching this exact problem that the OP has because i'm in the same boat. Anyways, thanks for clearing that up. Here is an article that shows some problems with ls3 maps with ls1 harnesses.
