Default Priming oil system

Does anyone know if you can prime the oil system on an ls1? My 02' camaro ss in coming out of storage this weekend. It has been sitting for two years and I don't want to cold start it if I don't have to. I would like to prime the oil system, but I don't know how. Wish it was as easy as pulling the distributor and spinning it with a drill.

That is the procedure listed in the GM Performance Parts manual.

All you need to do is remove the coil and fuel pump fuses for a simpler version of the same effect.

Thanks guys. That's about all I could think of myself. was going to pull fuel pump fuse, but now I will pull the one for coils as well. Fresh oil was put in the car prior to being stored, but still gonna replace it anyway before priming. Such a shame to see $60 worth of royal purple go down the drain. Thanks again for the advice guys a appreciate it.

Agreed on the priming part and if you know it will be sitting, use cheap oil or at least prime with the synthetic and then swap it out with fresh.

How accessible are the plugs? If you pull them, there'll be a whole lot less stress on the bearings while cranking. Think of it as the difference between an engine "trying" to start (full compression) vs. turning it over with a breaker bar during assembly...
