thats the thing though,

they have all become accustomed to a car that has A/C, its just a given that its in there. So if they sit in one without it now, you'll hear about it. I know this first hand. My daily driver mighty max has NOO A/C, and to make it worse, theres really not alot of airflow from rolling down the windows either.

^^exactly, it can easily get 120+ inside a hot *** car down here in the south. Its no joke, and not something a woman is gonna put up with for long, ESPECIALLY if she doesn't have to.

I took my AC off when the compressor died on me. that was 4 years ago.. lol. This was the first and only car that the AC worked on and I rarely ever used it anyhow.

45 lbs off the Nose of the car is a ton of weight for drag racing especially when its all right off the nose of the car. Guys spend hundred and thousands of dollars to change the hood or wheels or k-member to save 10-20 lbs. Less nose weight = less weight to transfer to the rear on the launch improving the 60' and a tenth off the 60' time = 2x as much overall.

i ditched the a/c when it came time to do head gaskets and the extra nonsense not being in the engine bay was extremely nice. granted it gets a lil warm here in oklahoma but i do most of my driving at night anyway so its no big deal. soon the heater is coming out and all that box nonsense in the firewall. my car is my daily but damnit i like goin fast and hopefully ill grab a little econobox daily with pro *** a/c and then ill get spoiled.

and x2 on the girl thing i had an ex that was the type to take 2+ hours to get ready to go anywhere. needless to say we rolled my car when the sun went down and it was time to race. she was a bitch though i got a cooler one now who doesnt care about the a/c thing lmao

Having Ac out weights the benefits of taking it off. Also if you ever want to sell the car having Ac installed will make it a lot easier.

I still have everything to reconnect it when the time comes, but I'll be long gone before that happens. I already fight with my oldest daughter about my SS. Not having the AC is something that keeps the scale tilted to my favor.

It should have the same gain as if you was to use an electric water pump , due to the fact that its not riding the main pulley anymore.

Ac delete is mostly for a combined effort with other parts for weight reduction. I took mine out with other parts. The gains for me were weight reduction, cleaner engine bay, easier to work on, and without the condensor in the way I can run a ssra with my trans cooler on the radiator. The cooling efficiency of the radiator is perfect with this setup even in summer. I do miss the ac sometimes but its not a dd and sometimes it tough to find a spot to park in the shade. Then your car turns into an oven lol.
