Default Modular Y-pipe project

Just finished building a new Y-pipe for the Camaro, went with a race merge and installed V-band clamps so I can change out to a race muffler or straight pipe, also planning on making a insert that has a Low profile elect cutout. All 304 stainless. The race merge took away the rasp.

Quick disconnect V band clamps make it easy to swap out each section.

ARH y-pipe (one the better on the market) along side the race merge.

Installed no clearance problems with the BMR relocation x-member or BMR driveshaft loop and cross brace.

That looks amazing! Looks like you have some good fabrication skills, and like said above the craftsmanship is top quality. You should definitely go into business, I would be interested in purchasing one if the fitment is as good as you say it is. I hate how my TSP Y fits, and that one looks 100x better. How is the ground clearance?

How much for one?

Cool, so do you plan to post a parts list for others to replicate your design? Are the pipes mandrel bent? Wouldn't it be better to go upto a 4" after the merge and then back down to 3" as suggested in the 500 RWHP thread? I too want a stainless steel Y and headers, but the Kooks and ARH designs leave something to be desired. I also need a high-flow cat version.

I will put together a parts list of what I used to put this system together for everyone.

Mods don't flame me, I am not trying to advertise work I have plenty, just sharing what I did with everyone, please feel free to duplicate.

Give me a couple of days and I will get the list up. Not as hard as you think to do this, I used to be a fabricator in a race shop so not a big deal for me but it can be done at home if you take your time put the right parts together. Having a mig and basic welding skills will be the only hold up for most people.

Good luck!

Gary

Hey topless!

Yea! did this at home in the garage,

Never get bored with building guitars it's my bread and butter

The header pipes were bent for me as a favor by a header mfg, I will ask them if it's OK to put their name out, I am not sure if they want to get into supply of one off stuff like this so I am going to ask first.
