Question 98 LS1 Coolant Level Sensor

Were these prone to going bad or was it the temperature sensor? I am looking at another Z28 and it has the low coolant level light, but it is full of coolant.

95% of the time its dirty. Take off the clip, pull the sensor out and clean it with a Quetip

Or, you can just unplug the sensor and let it be. The light will never come on. Just make sure you have enough coolant.
