broke a plug wire >:-( so i'm in the middle of a spark plug and wire swap on my 2000 camaro ls1 and i was yanking to get the #6 wire off the plug but the wire broke off at the boot...so now it's just the boot in the heat shield and it's on there pretty good.
any suggestions? i was trying some needlenose pliers but there's not a lot of room in there as we all know. would regular pliers work better? i didn't have any on hand at the moment. and would it be better to grab the boot or the heat shield?

If the heatsheild is still there grab some channel locks and grasp the heatsheild it will should pull the boot out with it I do it on the trucks all the time oh and dont forget the colorful language that also helps with keeping your sanity and not smashing something!
I broke the metal boot inside one off my msd wires. I went to part stores and found a single plug that had a similar shaped metal part and took it apart and crimped the metal piece onto my msd wire.
