Default dual exhaust

right now im running true duals from my LT's. they run individually from each side but don't connect with an X or H pipe. im going to have to take it to the muffler shop soon to get some high flow cats on it and i'm wondering what are the pro's and con's of my set up and should i go ahead with an X or H pipe setup.

if so which would be best for my setup. it's got an ms3 cam, ls6 intake and LT's with TSP bullet mufflers

H and X pipes help with scavenging. An H pipe will sound a little better, but an X pipe will help you keep a few ponies.

The one that makes your engine not sound like a boat engine (being a smartass). Running two pipes without any sort of crossover creates a strange-sounding exhaust, as the exhaust pulses can't flow into each other.
