Default heddman hedders

Im looking to purchase a set of headers this week and im trying to figure out what woudl be teh best deal. in a few months everything will be coming off the car so i dont need top quality. Anyone have the new heddman headers from jegs yet? 235.99 sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me, but if they are gonna fit like complete **** i much rather go with something more proven. anybody using these?
thanks

I think if I was going to go cheap headers I'd go with the Flowtechs then the pacesetters. The flowtechs because they are supposed to be a proven Hooker design and the Pacesetters because they have proven themselves to fit and perform. Headers are a PITA to begin with I would rather not be a trend setter and go with what is known to work when it comes to headers and header installs.

I gotta agree with 93TAWicked1... I don't think I'd really want to be one of the first to delve into a new brand of headers. It took a few batches before Pacesetter's fit started to get better... I got one of the latest batches of Pacesetters and didn't have many of the issues that some of the first batches seemed to have... plus I knew what kind of hang-ups I'd be in for (notching the k-member for instance).

Of course, you would have the cool factor of being one of the first with something no one else has yet.

Why go to all the trouble of a header install if only for a few months? Some LS1 headers can be a pain to install, and I wouldn't waste my time doing it for only a few months of use, IMO.

Aren't the Heddman headers 1.5" primary that steps to 1.75"? If they are, I don't really like that. Flowtechs look right to me . Really like the 3 bolt flange........................that way you can unbolt the rest of the exhaust at the track .

i shouldn't say just a few months, the car is going into storage in september and will only be started to keep it running well a few times till the spring (going back to school). Plus i change my exhaust set ups on all my cars like 10 times before I sell it lol. Im weird like that i guess. i guess ill go with the flowtechs since no one has tried these headers yet.
Thanks fellas
