Default QTP y-pipe vs TSP y-pipe

so i have a QTP off road Y-pipe and i would like to add cats to it, mine has the 3" pipes with flowmaster merge and 4" outlet. i would like to add cats to get rid of the rasp and make it smell better (wife complains). so my quesion it, should i just add some cheap cats to my existing ORY, or should i just step up to the TSP y-pipe with cats already weld on. would i be loosing performance if i went to the TSP y-pipe and would it even fit on my 1 3/4 QTP longtubes?

now if i do add cats, any suggestions? i found some cheap $40 ones that are low profile (3" inlet and outlet with 4" body) or is there any that are better fitting?
