Couple of things not right after TB swap..
I swapped my stock throttle body for a BBK 80mm and did the TB coolant bypass while I was at it. When I fired the car up afterwards there is now a distinct whistling at idle that changes tones. I'm assuming its a vacuum leak but from where? The only other thing I did was pull the seal off my lid because it was coming off anyways and I'm positive the gasket is on the right way.
My other concern is that the throttle is real punchy from a stop. I got the tb used but its in great shape. Is this normal, it seems to function fine on the road. Is it just tight or do I maybe need to adjust the throttle stop set screw?

What do you mean by punchy? Does it idle high or search for idle?
To check for a vac leak spray some brake cleaner around the TB (after the MAF) if the idle stumbles you have a leak and need to address it.

Idles fine, by punchy I mean when I first give it gas it is almost like there is a slight delay and then the car lurches forward. It almost feels like there is some slack in the throttle cable.

^ Put your foot on the throttle (Engine off) and kind of stand out the door. Look under the hood and tap the throttle a couple times. But other than that, if the cable is taught on the TB, you're good.
x2, but if it idles fine, 10-1 you're good.
And the whistling??? You should hear my FAST 102 on a cold start.. Sounds like it could suck up a child.

I just went out and drove a round a bit more and it is idling a little high. If I let off the gas while going down my street it was running 30mph. I'll try adjusting the screw on the throttle arm and see what happens. The whistling annoys me more than anything though and its not a sucking noise like Bayer has. I'll have to mess with it another day.

You have to check the voltage on the TPS when messing w the screw. Search for it. I forgot what the voltage should be. Either that or a handheld should read 0% throttle. It does more than control the idle.

I'd definitely replace the TB gasket, and I'd use a torque wrench to ensure the TB is uniformly tightened to the intake.

I went and tightened down the bolts a little more, backed off the idle screw a bit and fired it up. It idled the same, which I pretty much assumed it would and best of all no whistling. I went out and drove around for a while and it still seems a little more touchy than before but not as bad as yesterday but I'll keep an eye (ear?) on it. As I sold off a lot of tools to make the move down here to Kansas I definitely need to start restocking so I'm working with what I have. Thanks for all the help guys!

Best money I spent a while back was a 1/4" click-type torque wrench. It does the manifold bolts, fuel rail bolts, coil packs, TB, valve covers...the list goes on. Lots of fasteners in the 88-106 lb/in range, the components they hold are flimsy, and the threads are soft.
