loud grinding noise when startup, starter??

loud grinding noise when startup, starter?? about once evry 6 times i start it, this very loud grinding noise comes from the car, i have to shut it off and restart it. its not every times, just every now and then. im guessing starter sticking?
That's what it sounds like, I have replaced a few starters due to similar symptoms. You are going to have to replace the starter to find out or take it in to the shop for diagnonsis.
