Default getting REALLY pissed!!!!!

Ok just did lt headers, plugs, wires, motor mounts and tsp catted y-pipe also frost tune.

Took it out and everything was fine for about 20 miles other than all the smoke comming off headers....

I noticed every time I started it from there it took a little longer to fire up.
So today I take it out and it all of the sudden bogs down and stalls. I got it to fire back up and managed to limp back home.

I checked the plugs and wires at home and all seemed ok, but 2 wires would not click into coil pack so i reinstalled the stockers at those 2 locations. Fired it up and same thing????? Also does not want to idle on its own either. haft to give it a little gas but not to much or else it bogs down.

I am getting soooo pissed at this thing. What could it be?

I have a new fuel filter and whole intank fuel pump assembly also.

could be the tune, could be the wires/coil packs if you went with MSD ones..I'd reinstall the stock coil packs and see if that works

Why did you have smoke coming off your headers when you started it?

Doesn't sound like a plug issue, more like a fuel or tuning problem.

How are your O2's? Did you get new ones and/or harness extension? Is your SES on or flashing and did you try scanning for codes? As Element said, sounds like you're running very rich. Check to make sure everything is reconnected securely (ECU connectors, O2's, IAT, MAF, coil connectors, plug wires, etc...).

i bet your coolant temp sensor is tore up. mine wouldnt idle and acted wierd as hell when mine broke and its fairly easy to damage with a header install and plug swap

How do you know its good. Mine had a hairline crack and caused the contact points inside the sensor to intermittently make contact. This would deff cause the symptoms you described. Id just change it out for peace of mind and basically $10.

My car did the same thing when the coolant temp sensor was bad, so that's my vote.

^^^Coolant temp sensor... may as well swap it for peace of mind. May want to swap all the wires to rule that out too... Could have jarred one loose at the end of your 20 mile ride. You mentioned a fuel pump too. Did you just install that or has that been there for a while?

A friend has a 98 Trans Am. A little over a week ago he was driving it and it suddenly sputtered and died. Couldn't get the car to run for longer than a couple seconds, then it would die.

I helped him tow it back to his place. It threw an SES light, so we ran the codes. Couple of 02 Sensor Codes, MAP Sensor, and maybe a Misfire Code.

Went the easy route and thought he'd try replacing the MAP Sensor. Lucky ****** was able to reach behind the Intake to disconnect the original sensor and pop in the new one without having to pull the Intake. This didn't solve the problem.

He started looking deeper. After reaching a couple dead ends, he pulled the MAF Sensor and found a piece of Foam from the Air Lid stuck to the small wires inside. Pulled it out, cleaned the sensor and the car was back to its old, powerful self.

Moral of the story, don't be afraid to look in every direction.

I would look to see if one of your 02 extensions melted to the header.

ok so i think i found the problem. NO FUEL PRESSURE at fuel rails!???? Disconnected line before fuel filter and turned key and fuel pours out. So I dont think its the pump. Changed filter again and still same thing. What else could it be? I checked the lines and theres no kinks, leaks....anything. What could this be? Tomorrow I will try to disconnect supply line in engine bay to see if fuel is getting to there. any other ideas?

This whole pump assembly only has less than 500 miles on it!!!!!!!
