Default Cut-out placement

Is it true that a cut-out or cut-outs need to be placed a certain distance from the headers?

i'll let the super guru's answer it, but for a rough quick answer- I've read it has to do more with distance of o2 sensor to open end header, you want to have XXX distance away from those.

get a 2nd opinion before throwing them in, but I'd say a good 12-14" away from o2 sensor should get ya done, i figure thats no different than people running mufflers dumped right off the headers.

You have to call them the overlords, rub your belly clockwise while rotating your eyes counter clockwise 3 times to get an answer.

Base rule of thumb is at least 12" away from the O2 so you don't foul it with exhaust reversion.
