warm water and mild soap is fine, just make sure it is completely dry before you put it back on your car

+1 on the soap and water. then just let it sit out in the sun for a little while.

I have used different stuff over the years. Water with mild soap or degreaser such as purple power and a small enough brush that can fit in there and aggitate. Warm water, rinse, repeat, and compress air dry and let sit.

Remove all sensors, clips, rails and injectors to ensure nothing gets damaged.

You can also stuff the intake with some cloth towels to see if you can soak up misc water.

Also to mention Brake Cleen works wonders too for stubborn oil residue.

thanks everyone. i removed everything attached on the intake. cleaned it roughly first with a brush, soap and water. then soaked it in soap for an hour and rinsed. i will use degreaser now and rinse again. damn that thing is dirty!!
