ls6 heads or ported ls1 heads

what do you guys think im going to use a comp cam 224/224 112 was thinking to buy ls6 heads or spend the money i was going to use to buy the ls6 heads and port my ls1 heads which would make more hp for the bucks

its one or the other dont have alot of cash to buy the ls6 heads and get them ported unless i can find some really cheap ones

A.I. can port the stock LS1's to make a bunch more power than stock LS6's.Ported LS6's will make more overall but for the money they are making sick power even with LS1 heads.

I am curious on the answer the actual OPs question as well. Port my 241 or stock 243s for my LS1. Money for 1 or the other.

I'm in the same boat, except I'm sticking with stock cam for now. Looking to port my stock 241 heads because it's cheaper. Does anybody know a reputable shop around the L.A. area for porting? Or just a general price they charge? Trying to bring this thread back to life
