Default Longtubes with which Catback?

Need some advice here...Just installed flowtech headers and ORY and now I'm looking for a cat-back that's gonna flow and sound the best without killing my wallet. If anyone is willing to comment on the sound and performance of their LT's/catback combo, please feel free to elaborate.

Currently I'm considering these 2 cat backs; Hooker and TSP rumbler, but I've only heard clips of the Hooker w/ LT's on LS1sounds.com. Anyone out there got a clip of TSP w/ LT's? I've also heard that the Hooker flows extremely well compared to most other catbacks, but don't know about the TSP.

Hooker Cat back is cheap, not too loud at idle, Ferocious at W.O.T, and it comes with polished tips.

Ill cut you a killer deal on mine if you are interested.

I've heard good things from other members here on FLP Long Tubes with GMMG. That's a set up I'm shooting for, maybe with two electric cutouts...hmmm

Another vote for Hooker. I don't have longtubes, but with my offroad y pipe it sound f'n mean. I get compliments on it all the time, and the best part is its only about $300.

What about Magnaflow? Stainless and only runs about $380. Sounds good too.

I've heard it sounds ok...I'm just not crazy about the tips. Oh yeah...why the hell is GMMG so damn expensive? I understand they really don't like to deal with the public...anyone else heard this?

Getting ready to install my setup..

Pacesetter LT's
Pacesetter ORY

For the catback, I chose to go with the TSP Rumbler. I'm going with it simply because I like the reviews that I've been reading. Also, ya can't beat the $225 price tag. I went without tips because I didn't really like the ones that it came with.

I have a Loudmouth, I bought a Magnaflow system off a guy on LS1.com and I'll see how that sounds and post. I like the fact it's stainless, and mostly a straight-through design.

i had a hooker catback with an ory and stock manifolds, sounded Great!. then i decided i thought i wanted a loudmouth...ended up cutting that bitch off cause it sucked without cats, now i got pacesetters going in this weekend and im putting the hookery back on saturday. go to the sticky, ls1sounds.com. chili pepper provided us with a great site all sorts of exhaust setups. I hear the first car with long tubes, ory and a hooker and thats exactly what i wanted so i thats what i went with.

DON'T waste your time and money on that. Duals is the way to go. Lighter, cheaper, faster, and you'll sound like an old school muscle car.

What kind of a net gain in HP could I expect from true duals over the ORY? I've heard a few reasons not to go with true duals. 1. MONEY (how much did you pay for your true dual setup JHarmon?)...2. Ground clearance and 3. True duals only give about 2-4 HP over an ORY, so why even mess with them? I can't really bash true duals though...I'd love to hear a true dual car in person and if I had extra money to blow I'd probably look into it. After listening to the clip on ls1sounds.com I'm gonna go with the Hooker catback.

I thought they were great to deal with and their sound and quality are second to none. If you have the money to spend, it's worth it. Find a group price somewhere and save some $$.

If you have the money, get GMMG

If you're on a budget, get the Hooker. One of the few catbacks that doesnt have rasp with an ORY

not only does the hooker not have rasp, it sounds pretty damn good! i just got mine on today, and i am more than happy with it. sounds pretty old school to me. not too loud at idle, (whisper quiet compared to a lm w/lt's) and sounds great at all rpms. plus, its very quiet on the inside. i love it!!
