ASP Pulley Question?? I have a Stealthbox with a JL 10" subwoofer and a 400 watt amp in my 99 Z28. I wanna buy an ASP pulley. I was told once that i couldnt have both because my alternator couldnt handle the audio and the pulley. Is this true?? If so, what do I do?? Stronger alternator?? Help me out

It will not power your alternator as well which will not charge your battery as high but you should still be fine. Get the underdrive crank pulley with an overdrive alternator pulley and that will make it even again. No matter what you need to get a capacitor. It will stablize your electrical system and really clear up your base line. The cap stores 100% power for the amp so instead of the amp pulling from the battery, the battery charges the cap and the amp pulls from the cap. Without it, your alternator will eventually go bad anyway so invest in a cap, not a new aleternator. Your battery works in spikes and surges so your amp catches the battery at half its power 50% of the time. When the amp catches the battery on the low end it pulls directly from your alternator and puts a load on it. This is when your rpms surge and your headlights dim.
