Ls2 intake on a ls1???
Ls2 intake on a ls1??? Ok I have set of ported ls1 heads I have a ls6 intake on it for now I was inking of going 102 but it's sooooo much money I was thinking of possibly going ls2. I have fast fuel rails and all braided fuel lines upgraded injectors. My question is will a ls2 fit on my heads and if they do will I need to do any other upgrades. Besides a throttle body
Being that you have an 01 z28 you already have an ls6 intake from the factory. Putting on an ls2 intake work work but you'd actually be losing power because it is very poorly designed. The only step up from yours now would be a fast intake. If it's just a bolt on car the fast isn't worth it because it won't do much for power. If you plan on a cam to go with the heads then the fast is a must
LS2 intake will fit your heads, but you may find it is a bit lackuster in gains...there are some manufacturing problems that those manifolds were plagued by...mostly becoming evident in leaks between runners...they can be repaired, and they can be a decent intake afterwords, but it's not the most straightforward thing to do.
