LS6 TB and LS1 TB interchange?

I have a LS6 TB and my stock LS1 TB. I was going to get my LS6 one ported and then just change them out after I get the ported one back. But the part where the cable attaches on the LS6 one compared to the LS1 one looks slightly different.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me? It definitely looks like it is slightly different, but I don't know for sure if its just because the cables are hooked up on the LS1 one.

The holes should be same, if your ls6 intake came off a vet it will not have the inserts for the bracket to screw into. You will need to remove the inserts from your old ls1 intake and put them in your ls6 intake.

Ls1 TB is cable operated, ls6 TB is drive by wire.

Drive by wire is electronic right? By cable is by the metal cable, right? If so then the ls6 tb is drive by cable.

Correct and correct. Sell your ls6 TB and just get another ls1 TB, it would be the same thing.
