How much gain have you guys seen on the dyno or at the track after long tube header installation - specifically "Kooks" headers?
My buddy has a '00 SS. With just an airlid and with a big heavy 12 bolt rear end - he dyno'd 300 rwhp. With the addition of an LS6 cam and LS6 intake he dyno'd 330 rwhp. He just bought some Kooks headers and he's also thinking of getting some heads. What would be a good set of heads for his combination?
Thanks guys

He should see over 350 RWHP pretty easily if this is an M6. Most people seem to gain between 20-30 RWHP from headers. Obviously, more power will be gained if the car is retuned following the install.
Might want to check out the Internal Engine forum for head recommendations. He certainly wouldn't be taking full advantage of any aftermarket heads with the LS6 cam, though, as the heads would continue to flow beyond the maximum lift of the cam.
