Default Balancer to water pump alignment issue

I have part number 12601402 ls3 balancer on a 2010 ls3 went to install water pump part number 12610169. balancer pulley is not stuck out far enough. pulleys are way off ?Do i need another water pump or can i shim the water pump ? Thanks Robert

I don't know the numbers, but it sounds like you have a truck water pump...

12601402 ls3 balancer is for a Corvette. You to need a f-body/GTO/ or truck balancer. I can't figure-out your water pump part number, so I can't say which balancer you'll need.

I believe that's an L99 water pump. They have a cam phaser which apparently requires a longer pump. I think the belt spacing is the same as a truck setup.
