Default Stepped Long Tube Headers?

My car in Sig. For a car that will remain stock.
Going to "FINALLY" buy Long Tube Headers.
Which and Why? 1 3/4" or 1 7/8" or Stepped 1 3/4" - 1 7/8" ?

My only reason for headers is for louder exhaust note and more Torque!
Which header is better for Torque on a stock car in your opinion.

Looking currently at Kooks stepped headers.

Thanks for your help everyone.

1 7/8 will always be your best bet, but they are more expensive; TSP being the only affordable option at $500 for a set, and they are severely backoreded I believe. Only company that makes stepped headers are Edelbrock I think. 1 3/4 is plenty for a stock car and then some, I wouldnt worry about it unless you are going with a big h/c/i setup
