Have someone (Friend) drop the manifold off at any exhaust shop and say "Remove all the studs from these exhaust manifolds"

Pick it up when done and replace with your favorite stainless steel hardware.

Are you joking about this? You can drill those three holes out in 10 mins and tap them Or use bolts with nuts and be done.

I went through this recently on my car. It'd probably take more like a half hour. As the studs are harder than the iron manifold, the drill bit will wander and the hole(s) will be way off center. You'll then need bigger holes to get bolts lined up with the cat flange.

Drilling can be done but it's a process.

Well, it's done deal. The new one was ~$180 on my front porch. The GM one was ~$240 plus shipping and this particular source isn't very fast with shipping. The used ones that had pictures on eBay all still had the cat flange/bolts still attached. Didn't need to lose another battle.

Assuming the new one doesn't have fitment problems, this was the guaranteed way to get it done in the small window of time that I have on Saturday.

I figured someone would post this after I ordered a new one. Oh well.

Everything is installed and I just got back from a ~12 mile test drive. Previously, the car had a stumble, sometimes very bad, when at idle in closed loop. Idles very smooth now. New exhaust manifold, cat, front and rear O2 sensors, driver's side plugs and plug wires. I have to wonder which if these really was necessary. I hope that the problems are gone now. I plan to put about 500 miles on it this coming week.

That rear O2 sensor connector couldn't have been put in a worse spot. I wish the GM engineer that approved the location and length of that harness connector was in the garage with me. I would have beat him senseless.
