Default LS1 alternator weight Vs. Race unit?

I am currently looking for an alternator for my LM4 engine.

I have been eyeing up this Powermaster sub-6lb 40/50 amp unit for a while.

If there's only a few pounds of difference it would be much easier to just bolt on an O.E setup and go, and this brings me to my question.

So does anybody know how much a stock Fbody LS1 alternator weighs without the bracket?

All the replacements at Autozone weigh 12lbs, I would imagine that is close to stock if its a OEM replacement.
