Bought used lid for trans am. Missing something.

Hi. I bought a used slp lid on eBay for my 2000 trans am. It has an opening on the side with a connector for a hose. Do I need to by a hose to attach to the hose from the factory lid, or will that hose be long enough to fit to the lid. If I need to buy a hose, how long and what diameter.

Your stock AIR hose should fit the lid.

The slp lid should've came with one for the 01-02 model cars. You could just get a button plug for the lid and use a breather filter for your air hose

When I look at new lids on eBay for 2000 to 2002 trans am there is a picture of a hose next to the lid. Just wanted to know for sure before I start taking stock lid apart. On my 98 ta there was no hose on the side.
