Default AFR 205 or 210?

which is better for a 228/228 583" lift cam on 112lsa? will be matched to my bbk ssi intake. just want to get input, ive found the 210's but if i can get more power and torque out of the 205's then ill do that. it is a dd with full bolt ons and will be a street car. looking for as much power i can make with this cam and best set of heads.
anyone have any problems fitting aftermarket rockers in them? yella terras ultralights on 1.7 ratio with a 7.4 pushrod are what im going for

With my AFR 205s I had to go with 7.45" PR's after shimming my YT ultra lites for a good wipe pattern on the valve stems.

I had the 205 heads and made 463hp 414tq on a stang dyno. ran close to 10's n/a in a 3,700lbs car. They don't make the 205 anymore and the 210 should be the newer heads. I would take the 210 newer mammo head, it will produce better results as the 205 and with more power on the big end. Tony didn't redo the heads to make less power then his old. My boy has the 215 heads on a 383ci and it makes killer power..

Mamo is the guy to ask regarding both questions. Although, on stock cubes, would a$$ume 205's. There is likely a trade off, under the curve, somewhere, when comparing 205 to 210 AFR's operating through 346 stock cubes.

You should have probably posted this in the internal section....either way I happened to stumble across it and thought I would chime in quickly.

Bottom line is both would work well.....but the 210 would make a little more up top with no loss of bottom end. It has a little more flow than the 205 (in a slightly larger port) netting the same airspeed/velocity you are looking for to keep the bottom strong yet has the additional net flow to slightly increase the top end power a bit.

You couldn't go wrong with either but given the choice I would run with the 210

If your looking for a really explosive combo have me do some hand work to either but that adds notably to the budget.

If you have an interest in something along those lines shoot me a PM

Good luck with the project!
