Default Anyone using this pan in a lowered muscle car?

The oil pan is the retrofit pan #12614822 It is known as the H3 pan. My car was lowered because of the weight of the big block. I don't think it will sit nearly as low now. It says that this is not the pan you want to use if your car is lowered because it will sit 1.5-2" below the cross member. Yet, I have two guys telling me that in their nova with small block frame mounts and Big Block Moroso Engine mounts that it almost sits flush.

I would like some information from anyone using this retrofit pan in an older A body or similiar ride. Where does it sit in relation to the cross member?

I do not recommend that pan at all. I will be getting rid of mine the next time the engine is out.

I don't know what pan that is. Pics linked to photo sites are blocked here at work.

What I do know (from experience) is that deep pans + lowered cars + bad roads = 2 blocks leaking tranny fluid.

It is the h3 pan the OP asked about. Might have 4-5" ground clearance tops, it's the lowest point on the bottom of the car.

I can only get away with it because the springs and shocks are stiff and I still cringe on some bumps and pulling into some lots/driveways.

Thunderstruck-Are you using the big block Moroso engine mounts? It seems as though if you use those it will raise the engine over an 1". At least that is what I am being told.
