Default Fast 90/90

If you still want a fast 90/90 combo im going to sell mine and go with my ls1 intake, my car is acting like a pos and ill be going forced induction soon, the price for the fast is better spent on other mods, fast intakes are best on n/a motors anyway...ask anyone else if you think 1000 shipped is a bad price...let's not play that game 950 shipped: includes 90mm throttle body, 90mm intake, all 8 gaskets and the gasket for the tb, original box, and the only thing you have to buy is some different bolts from orielly's or home depot, I had the motor out while replacing the block and had plenty of clearance with standard grade 8 hardware...felt the extra power too, no doubt there with the upper rpms, pm me for some pics or if your serious.

No its not but that is what they are worth, like the guy said a new 102 intake is like 1700, my 90/90 is $800 cheaper and no special mods needed, just $10-$15 worth of hardware.

FAST intakes are so expensive because no other company makes a plastic intake. Thats why Fast can set the prices at what ever they want and rip everyone off. Its simple. lol

Fast is also a high quality intake, stronger, and much higher flowing especially if you get it ported.

What you want to do is ask what kind of track gains the Fast intake gives you.
Dyno numbers don't mean crap...they are only for guys that sell these intakes.
You aren't gonna feel any gain on the street switching to a Fast...surely not a
$1000 gain. Do more searching if you want, but your LS6 will get the job done.
Guys are in the 10's with NA setups still using the stock intakes. Take care.

How can you say " stronger " ? The LS6 intake is a one piece unit. I've never seen a post
on here of guys breaking a stock intake. Fast on the other hand have leaked, cracked, and they had a horrible way of mounting the MAP sensor. Don't sound like High Quality to me.

Default maybe another option soon...

I still have the molds I made for the low profile plenum intake I started developing a while back.

If there is enough interest I can get the prototypes together for testing if there is a couple people who want to bolt it on and see what it does.

I have also recently hired a tig welder who can throw down museum quality work and we have machinists/cnc & CAD design all on hand here.

If you already have a design or piece you want replicated please let me know.
Im here to serve the racing community, not step on toes.

Originally it was developed for my El Camino offroad race vehicle, but after sinking a couple grand and a few hundred hours of R&D and moldmaking into it I would like to see the project thru weather it bombs at the dyno or becomes the next hot product for LS motors.

the design allows for near unlimited TB options from 78mm-140mm+ single and tandem TB style, I can also machine a custom bell flange to your needs.

All it would take is 5-7 guys who are willing to put up a grand after seeing the original prototype pics and dyno results
It would enable us to do an initial production run to get the ball rolling.

The only reason people keep cracking the fast intakes is because they don't replace the valley cover bolts, ls1/ls6 intakes don't have that problem because they aren't as big. I love having a fast but for an ls6 guy switching to a fast I don't think the cost comes anywhere close to being worth it but from an ls1 guy ill admit the power jump in the upper rpms was extremely noticeable. Everyone has their opinions just like saying titanium retainers aren't worth it but in the end 5hp here and there is what gets you those beautiful numbers.

Mamo ported 102 is the best. And that FAST 90 is ridiculous for 950. If you look around you can score a 102 setup for that much

Default Ls1 intake issues12560688

I apologize right off that bat. I'm probably not putting this in the right place in here. But I have a question. I have a ls1 intake off of a 98 camaro. It's got kind of rectangle shaped ports on the bottem. And I'm trying to mount it to a 5.3 block with 706 heads. Out of a 2001 tahoe if I remember right. The intake numbers are 12560688. With the egr port. I have looked and looked and I have seen pictures of heads with what looks like different style ports . But all the stock intakes I seen are rectangle shape. Will these work? Is this how they are suposed to be? Do the ls1 heads have rectangle ports on the heads? Is there another style of intake I should be looking for? Don't have much more money I could afford to spend especially if I just did something dumb like buy the wrong intake. Please let me know. I'm really new to this. And thanks in advace.

You will probably have more luck making your own thread regarding this than bumping a 5 year old thread.
