A "plug" for Kooks Headers
As for the catted Y-pipe, I had to shorten it with a hacksaw where the y joins together (2-piece y-pipe) and where it goes into the I-pipe. But, to my literal astonishment there were no clearance issues with the pipe OR the cats - amazing fitment. No buzzing or rattles anywhere so far and that is saying a lot in my book.
The reason it took me all day to do it was because I did it by myself and then I ran into trouble with the rear driver's-side manifold bolt. I had to run to the store and get an 8x1.25 tap to clean and straighten the threads in the head. Besides that it was relatively painless and I would definitely do it again - it was actually kind of fun. All I used was a 3-1/2 ton floor jack and did it in my garage - no lift needed.
I took it for a spin after I got in buttoned up and it is sweet. The sound is incredible through the Hooker catback and I definitely picked up a few ponies. My header primaries near the head have already turned that bad-*** gold color.
Anyway, wanted to let those guys out there know that in my opinion, spending a little more for these headers is definitely worth it when it comes to looks and the ease of install. So if you are in the market for some headers, give these a look, they are very nice. Either I am that good or the quality of these headers is awesome and I am not that good.

Yes, the women down here are definitely sweet - can't wait until summer and short shorts
