Help me out with my Intake build...
Im in the process of building an LQ4 with 243 heads for my 1971 C10. my plans for it are;
- ~450HP, 450TQ
-Good low end-mid range torque
-Heads milled down to bump the CR to ~10.9:1
-Original bottom end components
-Cam in the mid 22x/22x, .600" lift, 112LSA
-4L60E trans
-Doug Thorley full length headers(1 5/8" primaries)
Thats about all I have so far... Now, ever since I have seen this

I have wanted to make it have a retro (almost carbureted) look.
Yes, I want to use the Edelbrock Victor purely for aesthetic reasons.
My searching around the site has made me come to maybe the thought that this may not be a good thing as far as performance goes, and that kind of concerns me. Is this intake manifold going to drastically hurt my low end desires?
The next thing Im lost in is the air metering on an intake like this. Is there no MAF for this? Is it all bypassed in the computer?
Here is a pic of the truck if you are curious

Thanks for your help!

Absolutely......were talking 40-60lbft.
No MAF is being used, that is a speed density setup.
