Default Pace setter Problems??

Hey,
I've searched and come up with people saying good things about Pace setter Lt's. Now I'm wanting to hear some if any bad things about them.

I'm wanting to put lt's on my car and really really want to go with QTP or Kooks but I'm having a hard time justifying double the cost.

Thanks

having to notch the kmemeber for clearance and the design and fit of their ypipe are about the only problems most people have had

ypipe is close unless u get poly motor mounts, kmember notch, save the money and get these things they are great. fixed my friends ss by putting a little header wrap under the driver side of the ypipe and securing it down in the heat shield. its worth the extra work so save the money and get some more go fast parts u wont regret it

I agree... the minor hiccups in the install are worth the saved money. As long as you're prepared for them (knowing you have to notch the k-member, and having to pry on the y-pipe in order to get a little clearance for it), the install goes pretty smoothly. Not only that, but it seems with every run they do, the fitment gets better and better.

I highly recommend the Pacesetters...

I think I'm gonna get a set, but I'm gonna have my local exhaust guy do the Y-pipe.

Cheaper, and he's right down the street if I have any problems!

They are backordered now and they are fixing the fittment problem in the new ones should be OK. They are a mild steel and will rust faster than most. But will work fine.

yeah can't complain on bang for buck. Hopefully they test fit their product, and actually do more than start the car this time they fab up something.

But i must admit not having to worry about clamps scraping on speed bumps is a nice thing. and my car is as fast as i want it to be.

just be warned fitment issues on any "in stock" are serious. The ORY collector was welded by 9 year olds imo, and should be cut up for scrap.

Could have bought those brands but instead I bought pacesetters. Anyway the pacesetters are going thru a revision on the drivers side header. They will be ready to go in 2 weeks I know for a fact called today. I am getting a revised header

kooks might be great but for the extra $$ i got a cam kit. I'm sure my car with kooks and no cam would be slower.

These pacesetters were also designed to not require you to scrape on speed bumps (stock height). my bro's ws6 has hookers, the clamps scrape hard on any speed bump at stock ride height/wheels.

I mean its not a bad product, it probably makes 95% the power of a real nice set of headers at like 1/2 the cost.

i just wish they did more test fitting before they sold the last batch. my only beef. they perform quite well for the price i paid.

Well unfortunately I'm the kind of person who always second guesses myself. I know if i got the pace setters a little while later i'd be kicking myself and wishing I got some in stainless (qtp or kooks) Plus I'm going to put a gmmg on it and a totally stainless exhaust would be
