I wouldn't run a ls1 intake on anything as cheap as a ls6 is.

I went from a ls1 to a fast 90mm on a cam only car and the gains were huge up top.

Thats very doable by switching to an LS6 Intake under boost. You may be very surprised at the gains.
It should not only pick up power in the upper rpm's, but everywhere else in the powerband as well.
Let us know what it picks up when you do it.
