Default Finally!!

Well I finally got some parts for the WS6,going to start the install tomorrow.

I purchased pacesetter ceramic headers with GM MLS gaskets
Prothane mounts
Plug in O2 extensions
NGK IX plugs
Taylor 10.4 wires

I've read some DIY's on the headers and mounts. Just wondering if you guys have anymore tips!

I'm pretty excited to start. Soon it will get a can and heads!

Thanks, Steve

If you read all the DIY's you should be good to go. Only thing I would suggest is make sure you have the car high enough in the air.

How soon are you planning on doing heads and cam? If very soon you might just want to wait and do it all at the same time. It will save you some time of taking stuff apart again. Plus it will save you money on getting another dyno tune.

Good luck and have fun with your mods.

I agree with cranny. Plan on one session of combined down time and do everything once.

Enjoy!

Do you need a tune after installing headers?

Yea get it high in the air...I had my car stack on about 6 2x4's on top of some truck jack stands...just make sure everything is solid bc you don't want car falling on you! Also fwiw it's worth it was easiest to install rear most bolts was by doing it backhand with arm behind your back...I know that sounds crazy but it worked!

Thanks for the tips. The Cam is going in pretty soon. From what i've read, its going to take a while to do the headers and mounts. I'll probably buy the cam in a couple weeks, so i may just leave some of the stuff off for now.

Luckily its not my DD and its in the garage for winter, so i have plenty of time to work with!
