Default Tsp vs pacesetter headers

Pros and cons to both headers lets here them. I prefer kooks but I've been out of the loop for a while and building a car for a friend. He wants to order one or the other so let me know the good vs bad on both

TSP all the way. Stainless 1 7/8 vs Pacesetter regular steel 1 3/4. Also the merge on the TSP y pipe is worlds better than the Pacesetter. The TSP is also close to the same price as coated Pacesetters.

I may be wrong but I think the TSP headers are loosely based on the pacesetters, only 1 7/8ths instead of 1 3/4, and the TSP's are stainless. If you're on a tight budget go with the Pacesetters. There is more power to be made with the bigger primaries, and the stainless headers are def. higher quality which warrants the price but I'm running the black painted pacesetters and have no complaints... TSP does have the best deal as far as headers and their Y pipe combo.

First let me say I am not trying to say TSP is or isn't better since I have never run them, but I have run pacesetters on my old car. I must say I was extremely happy with them. They installed easily, fit great, and the price was good. As others have said the biggest downside is that they are not stainless steel.

You can use the TSP y-pipe on the pacesetter headers, so I wouldn't worry about the Y merge as an above poster said. And yes I do suggest you run the TSP y-pipe regardless what you pick.

If i recall correctly the pacesetter headers/TSP y-pipe from TSP is under $500.
I think the TSP headers alone are $500... the Y I think is like another $130.

So its only a bit more for stainless and you get 1 7/8. Might be worth it but again I have never run TSP headers so idk how they fit and all that.

I think you got it mixed up... the TSP's are bigger. 1 7/8 > 1 3/4....

TSP 1 7/8 header $499:
Pro- high horsepower gains, SS material
Con-Price

Pacesetter 1 3/4 header ~$280:
Pro:Cheap, medium horsepower gains
Con:Steel material

You could have searched this data in less time than making a thread for this info but there you have it.

Sorry...I have to lol at the con of the TSPs being cost. They're $499 for freaking stainless headers. Not getting that deal anywhere right now. That's a Pro in my opinion.

Go ahead and opt for the TSP's they are the only choice IMO if your not looking to drop the coin for some Kooks or ARH.

I have coated pacesetters and they are really amazing, easy to install and cheap. I wish I would have seen the TSP at the time but not worried minimal gains imo.

There are plenty of questions that need to be asked. This is definitely not one of those questions.

But you felt the need to revive a post nobody has contributed to in 10 days?

Anyways......pacesetters are junk. I would rate them barely above ebay headers.
