Should Texas-Speed make an OTA extension to their Td's???
#22
I voted no. Texas Speed even says the system was built for power, not sound. Thats why its dumped and 3" and is made of aluminized steel. It was made for the weekend warrior that wanted max power. The gap for TDs is filled, Bassani makes a 2.5 inch kit for stock manifolds that can easliy be adapted for LTs, and Kooks makes the full stainless over the axle setup. I wouldnt see the point to make an OTA system and completely redesign the system.

I like everyones opinion in here. Still waiting on Texas-Speed to jump in and give us some info. I have seen some cars here on tech who had this exhaust and just had a shop extend both pipes OTA on passenger side. Not saying it's impossible but would be nice if my exhaust was all done from the same company.

What they need to do is buy a kooks exhaust. Then go with how they did there's. I think they are worried about having issues with it hitting and having people complaining and getting mad.

Not all cars are alike. So of course they will adjusting to some cars and others will fit perfect. Thats just the nature of modding cars. I've learned that when I buy a part that says bolt on, it's not really a bolt on=it requires some sort of tool or adjusting to get right.
If we can build DD cars with 1000 hp then this should be a piece of cake!!!

I'm not in the market for Exhaust at the moment, but I will mention that I am not a fan of Dumps in general. I understand their purpose and I don't mean any disrespect to those who run them, but in my opinion exhaust exiting under the car looks sloppy and unfinished to me.
Addressing this threads topic, I would say Texas Speed should definitely look into it. If I was to purchase a car with their current TD setup installed, it'd be nice if I could simply purchase a kit that would extend it to the rear of the car, rather than having to purchase a completely different exhaust system.
